couple fun facts
i've been accepted into the art academy of cincinnati. i'm super excited, all that hard work paid off. i've got a big ass scholarship too!
i'm out of high school, oh free at last.
i'm involved in a really neat local undertaking called blueprint saints magazine, it's a local magazine that will be comprised of 100+ artists putting out 100+ comics every month! how cool! i'd give you a link but there's really nothing there right now.. but anyway: [link]
i haven't drawn anything for a while either, the stuff i just uploaded is pretty old. it's beginning to come back to me though, there should be some stuff up soon. i plan on doing something i call in my head the divine nine, or the CBP: cute boys parade. which is exactly what it sounds like. i'm just going to go through my favorite subcultures and draw a very attractive male specimen of each. do what you love after all. and, so as not to alienate my entire god damn male audience i'll have some comics up as soon as i learn the dimensions of my cel in the magazine. whazah.
i would just like to say, in light of recent comments left on my shit, what i think an artist is obligated to do in response to a criticism or disapproval of his or her art. i think that the artist should be able to articulate what their thoughts were (if any, there really doesn't have to be) behind a particular piece of work and maybe try to help the other person understand it better. it is not my job to defend an idea after that. it also not my job to prove, disprove, debate, apologize or try to change your mind. and let me tell you right now, it is not anyone's job to change mine, especially if you're going to be a sarcastic asshole about it. so there. i will discuss and analyze until my fingers fall off about the art itself, and what it means, but if you've got a beef with the ideology behind it, it's really not my fucking problem. make your own damn art. and
if you don't like it, don't look at it
well that's about it for now. i was just sick of looking at a seven month old post.
